Race Highlights

  • 5K Non-timed and Chip-Timed run/walk, 1-mile run/walk
  • Sleep In for the Cure®
    Out of town on Race Day? Work nights? Support the 2009 Race from home and Sleep In! Receive a Race T-shirt and Sleep-In doorknob hanger. They will be mailed to you the week before the Race. Register as an individual or as part of a Team and collect donations to be eligible for prizes.
  • Men for the Cure®
    Join this dedicated group of fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, co-survivors and friends to support Race Day, and receive our Men for the Cure T-shirt to wear all year. We have LOTS of important jobs to get done before, on and after Race Day activities.
  • Little Roadrunners for the Cure
    This special event is for three- to eight-year olds. They can run or walk the 50-yard dash. All participants receive a race number and medal. Free registration near the Finish Line 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.. Continuous starts. Parents must be present.
  • Volunteer - Feel Really Good!
    New and returning volunteers are encouraged to get involved. Race volunteers will receive a T-shirt in appreciation of their efforts. For more information, click the Volunteer link in the left-hand navigation list for volunteer opportunities.
  • Race Day Survivor Program
    Don't miss this very special celebration featuring our inspirational Survivor Parade, Awards Ceremony and entertainment -- Main stage at 10:00 a.m. (Meet at 9:45 am on Palm Ave.near the Stage). Click on the Survivor link in the left-hand navigation list for details on additional events.
  • I AM THE CURE®
    Komen's rallying cry, encouraging women and men to take an active role in their breast health, become educated about breast cancer, and understand that awareness is the first step in that process. Our race "cheerleading squads" will spread the simple, action-oriented messages that everyone can take home and put into practice. Listen for the cheers as you walk or run and JOIN IN!
  • Post-Race Expo
    After you have refueled with refreshments provided by Raley's, Yoplait and Coca Cola, enter the Expo for entertainment, information, merchandise and free samples.
