Potential Donors
Your donation will help us continue to provide life-saving and support services for women, men and their families in the Greater Sacramento Valley. Our focus is serving where the greatest need is, the uninsured and underinsured.
Thanks to our signature event, the Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure, the Sacramento Affiliate has invested over $10 million to fulfill our promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever. For the past twelve years, we have funded research and local breast health and breast cancer education and screening projects in our 17-county Sacramento Valley service area.
Join us as we Imagine...Life Without Breast Cancer
At least seventy-five percent of the net funds go directly to local programs in our service area. Up to twenty-five percent goes to our National Award and Research Program.
Many organizations raise money for breast cancer. At Susan G. Komen for the Cure, we make every penny count.
Thank you for your support and commitment to life without breast cancer.
Race Participants
INVEST IN OUR PROMISE: If every registered participant were inspired to collect $200 from family, friends and colleagues, we could raise $4 million locally for the fight against breast cancer.
Join us as we Imagine ... life without breast cancer.
- Be Inspired to donate so we can continue to provide local life-saving services.
- Inspire others to donate to our promise to save lives and end breast cancer. Tell everyone you know why you're walking for Komen.
By registering for the Race, you've taken the first step. Now, help us finish the race against time. The majority of your registration fee goes toward producing the race. One-hundred percent of all donations help fund research and local breast education, and breast cancer screening and support programs.

Team Captains
Encourage each team members to collect a minimum of $200 so that they will be eligible for a prize. Provide them with fundraising ideas and sample letters.
Coach and motivate team members for success. Once your team members are registerd, hold a rally in your conference room or living room to help generate excitement and educate them on their responsibilities (i.e. asking for donations, recruiting more participants). Have your team members provide you with weekly reports on their progress.
Don't forget to collect donations yourself. As the team captain you should set the tone. Besides your won family and friends, you should also contact your company vendors to support you and your team.
As a team captain you may win a prize for the highest percentage of team members collecting $200 or more. Your team may win a prize for collecting the most dollars per team member. There are many ways to make your team standout and be acknowledged.
As a team captain, you play an important role in our community's future. With your help we will have ... life without breast cancer!
